I’ve gotten some great feedback over the years from readers of my book and my newsletter. I appreciate all of it, the thanks and praise, and the constructive criticism as well.
The feedback only increased in 2025 with the launch of The Baseball Buffet daily newsletter series, and especially as the size of the subscription list has grown. I did a reader survey at the end of the regular season, and over 600 readers participating by answering a few questions and then optionally giving me open comments or testimonial quotes. I also get comments sent to me when readers use the poll at the end of each full issue of The Baseball Buffet, and some folks just send me an email at [email protected], which is always welcome of course.
The positive comments/testimonials I get most often are focused on several of the key elements of The Baseball Buffet, including:
the consistent, broad-ranging “buffet” aspect of this newsletter;
the smart-brevity format (lots of sections, headers, bullets, etc.) that I do my best to use;
the combination of current game recaps/previews with several historical content segments;
and the value provided being similar to what newspapers or the old print Sporting News used to do.
