Hi, I’m Tom Stone.

I’m the creator of The Baseball Buffet daily series from Now Taking the Field. I write The Baseball Buffet every single day because I think baseball fans deserve a daily digest as comprehensive and dependable as the old newspaper sports page used to be.

I also published my first baseball book in 2019 with ACTA Sports, titled Now Taking the Field: Baseball’s All-Time Dream Teams for All 30 Franchises. I started writing a newsletter in 2022, covering a range of baseball topics, and this evolved into the daily Baseball Buffet starting on Opening Day in 2025.
